What are the different tests done for diagnosing female fertility?





Here are different tests which are done to diagnose female fertility:
Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)
This is the procedure of X-ray to check if the fallopian tubes are open along with checking the uterine cavity. Your fertility doctor will let you which fertility test is needed to make sure you are healthy and can conceive successfully.


Transvaginal Ultrasonography
The a vagina ultrasound probe is placed which helps in checking the ovaries and uterus for any problem like ovarian cysts and fibroids.

Ovarian reserve testing
This the test helps in knowing whether the women can produce quality eggs and how eel the ovaries are responding to the hormonal levels. It includes 2 tests:
  • Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
  • Antimüllerian hormone (AMH)
This is test is essential for women who are at more risk of reduced ovarian reserve like:
  • Women above 35
  • Family history of menopause
  • Single ovary
  • Unexplained infertility


Hysteroscopy
This procedure is done with an instrument that looks like a telescope. It helps in diagnosing and treating the abnormalities inside the uterine cavity-like fibroids, scar tissue, and polyps.
